The 51st annual conference and convention of the American Council of the Blind will be held in Louisville fpom July 6 through 14, 2012. Packed with exhibits, technology, workshops and seminars, programs and social events, the convention is filled with information for students, parents, families, professionals, and seniors who are just losing their vision. The Northern Kentucky Council of the Blind is a chapter of the Kentucky Council of the Blind. NKCB has blind, visually impaired, and sighted members in Campbell, Boone, Kenton and surrounding counties.
NKCB works for equality and independence for all people with vision loss. NKCB advocates for quality education for blind children and youth, expanded training and job opportunities for visually impaired adults, improved services for seniors over age 60 who are just losing their vision, and better public transportation for people who cannot drive.
